Week 5

This week Room 1 were very excited to go and meet Harold in the Life Education van. He taught us all about the things we need to stay fit and healthy, as well as how to be good friends.

Week 4

This week we welcomed Holly to room 1.

We have also been reading some stories about Greedy Cat by Joy Cowley and have used dye and vivid to create some fabulous pictures of him! 

Week 3

Another busy week in Room 1! 

On Monday we welcomed James, Iden, Ryan, Saiah and Benjamin to our class. 

On Tuesday we were lucky enough to see a really cool show from 'Science in a Van' as part of Primary Science Week. We learned all about the science of bubbles and mixtures. We found out that carbon dioxide is heavier than air so bubbles filled with dry ice sink to the floor.

On Thursday we went on a tour of the Pou around the school with Mrs Elmore. Each of our Pou represents one of the Maori guardians from the In The Beginning story, and remind us to look after different parts of our environment.

Week 2

This week we welcomed Russell, Oscar and Zoe T to our class. We have been continuing with our PMP sessions on a Tuesday and Thursday, which are lots of fun. 

On Wednesday we dodged the showers and went on an autumn walk to collect some leaves, which we then made into butterfly leaf collages.

Next week we are looking forward to taking part in 'Science in a Van' as part of Primary Science Week, as well as going on a tour of the Pou around our school with Mrs Elmore, our Enviro teacher.
